Suspension Bridge Program
In the rural part of Nepal Suspension bridge not only joins two geographically separated hills or villages but it is important means for over all development of the villages. Through such bridges villagers get the opportunity for the exchange of financial activities, trade, arts, culture etc. It is also taken as one of the important medium of transportation.HELVETAS and District Development Committee (DDC) Sindhupalchok, jointly allocated the bridge project. SUK Nepal is responsible for technical and social mobilization part of this project. Technical part includes providing the expert technical manpower for the survey, design and construction part of the bridge. Social mobilization is to build favorable environment by consulting with local villagers, stakeholders, DDC etc.
