About Us

Sindhu Utthan Kendra is entirely non-profitable and social welfare organization founded in 2011 AD . In English it can be termed as Sindhu Upliftment Center or in short form, it is called SUK. The reason behind the establishment of Sindhu Utthan Kendra is to do something in favour of the needy, helpless, underprivileged, socially-exploited children, women, elders as well as physically and mentally differently able people.

The upliftment Center will focus primarily on providing the educational scholarship to the children of the underprivileged communities to give shape to their dreams. Likewise, it will also work for the upliftment of the people and women who are socially neglected and exploited in the name of tradition. The center will be truly devoted and will be actively engaged towards social welfare activities in any field. It will work for the humanity regardless of age, gender, color, caste, race and religion. It will also carry out several welfare activities such as blood donation programs, health camps, eye camps, infrastructure development and much other humanitarian effort, in coordination with related and respective organizations, during special occasions and cultural and religious occasions.

The office of this project is located in Sipapokhare V. D. C., a remote area of Sindhupalchock District, Bagmati Zone, Nepal. It has its contact office at Kathmandu and district head quarter Chautara.

Objectives

  • It will focus on development of equitable society by providing education, motivation, financial and other supports to disables, orphans, poor, un-touchable, marginalized and old aged groups.
  • Priority will be given to modern and scientific agriculture and production system by coordinating with the farmers and other concerned bodies.
  • One of the major concerns of this project is also on preservation of nature, construction and sustainable development.
  • It will focus on women\rural health and awareness program.
  • It will work against the inconsistencies, evil-practices and superstitions existing in the society; for example- girls' trafficking, migration,drug addiction, gambling, dowry system etc. through awareness programs.
  • It will focus on promotion of friendly relations and brotherhood with other social organizations, local youth clubs and the individuals interested in social work.

Working Area

At present, the focal point of organization is mainly the periphery of Sindhupalchok district. In long run, it aims to be expanded thought the whole country with high enthusiasm and self-motivation.

Vision of SUK Nepal

SUK Nepal has core vision of conducting various social welfare activities in rural part of Nepal and creates positive change in the life style of the people.

We are committed to equitable participation of women and men, indigenous minorities, disadvantaged groups and Dalits in all programs, and decision-making processes. We ensure good governance, participation, Anti-fraud and Anti-corruption Policies, inclusion and accountability through Gender and Social Inclusion Mainstreaming Guidelines, Workforce Diversity and Inclusion Policy, our Manual for Disability Mainstreaming.
