Sindhu Utthan Kendra(SUK) Nepal is also known as Sindhu Upliftment Center. It is entirely non-profitable, non political, non governmental and social welfare youth organization founded in 2011. The reasons behind the establishment of Sindhu Utthan Kendra is to conduct sustainable activities in favour of the needy, helpless, underprivileged, socially-exploited children, women, elders as well as physically and mentally differently able people.

I presume Sindhu Utthan Kendra has served as a movement binding the youth, community leaders and molding their personalities to meet the challenges of the future, while contributing to the society.   • UNDP/CDRMP Project

    Sindhu Utthan Kendra (SUK) Sundhupalchok implemented "Resilient Communities through Building Back Better (RCBBB)" Project in 5 VDCs (Kubinde, Irkhu, Bhotsipa, Sipapokhare and Badegaun) of Sindhupalchok district in the financial and technical assistance of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) from October 2016 to March 2018. During this time frame, a total of 30 Technology Demonstration Houses (TDH) was built under owner driven reconstruction approach and same 30 houses became the platform for On the Job Training (OJT) to artisans.
  • Mission Rebuild Nepal

    Immediately after the Rescue and Relief Operations, Sindhu Utthan Kendra (SUK) in partnership with Mission Rebuild Nepal decided to rebuild one village in its entirety by building all destroyed houses. Sipapokhare was chosen for this cause which was one of the hardest hit villages in Sindhupachowk district, where all houses in the village were completely destroyed. After persistent hard work, financial support from donors and inspiration from our well wishers enabled us to accomplish the expected work.
  • Local Governance and Community
    Development Programme (LGCDP)

    Local Governance and Community Development Programme (LGCDP) is a national programme with an over-arching goal to contribute towards poverty reduction through inclusive, responsive and accountable local governance and participatory community-led development. In Sindhupalchok district, LGCDP is executed by the District Development Committee and is facilitated by Sindhu Utthan Kendra (SUK) Nepal in 10 VDCs since 16 July 2013.
  • Local Trial Bridge Support Program

    Hilly/Rural part of Nepal is being benefited with Local Trial Bridge Support Program supported by Helvetas International and District Development Committee Sindhupalchok. In the rural part of Nepal Suspension bridge not only joins two geographically separated hills or villages but it is important means for over all development of the villages. Through such bridges villagers get the opportunity for the exchange of financial activities, trade, arts, culture etc. It is also taken as one of the important medium of transportation.
  • Education Support
    Program

    From the date of establishment of SUK Nepal it is focusing in the educational support program. Currently this program is expanded into six Village Development Committee (VDC) of Sundhupalchok district. This program includes supporting the needy children, the differently able children,orphans,marginalized,under age labor working group, civil war sufferer etc. with educational materials like books, uniforms ,stationeries, school bag etc.
  • Women and Youth
    Empowerment Program

    SUK Nepal has separate and power wing to conduct various women empowerment programs and the activities with basic theme of "The women for woman". This is composed with the women board members of SUK Nepal and focuses on the education, health and sanitation, reproductive health, skills and training etc.
  • Agriculture and Environment
    Support Program

    Nepal is agricultural country. More than 70% of Nepalese people are directly involved in this sector. The people of the villages are all most all engaged in the agricultural activities. So we have started some agricultural program. Farming, growing medicinal herb, organic production, cash crops and rearing the animals for Household and commercial activities are some of the potential areas for the agricultural activities.
